COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 12 Ohio State women’s golf team posted an opening round score of 308 (+24) and is tied for 10th place following the first round Monday at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge. The event is being held at the par 71 Palos Verdes Golf Club (5,912 yards) in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., and hosted by The Ohio State University.

Pepperdine leads the field of 18 with a score of 284 (E) while UCLA currently holds second place at 292 (+8).

Ohio State sophomores Lindsay Knowlton (Toronto, Ont./Havergal) Kristen White (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) each posted rounds of 75 and are tied for 22nd place individually. Allison Hanna (Jr., Portland, Ore./David Douglas) stands in a tie for 28th place, shooting a round of 76.

UCLA’s Charlotte Mayorkas shot three-under-par 68 in first place on the individual leaderboard.

The second round continues at noon (9 a.m. Pacific) Tuesday while the final round is scheduled with a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
