COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 1 Ohio State men’s gymnastics team fell to No. 8 Nebraska, 213.475-214.925, Sunday night in Lincoln, Neb. The Buckeyes won two events – parallel bars (35.625) and high bar (36.450) to make a last minute surge in the meet.

“Tonight our team did a lot better,” Miles Avery, Ohio State head coach, said. “We fought much harder and we are on the right track. Obviously we needed to rest some of the guys, so we didn’t use a full team.”

Kerry Adderly (Jr., Orlando, Fla.) paced the Buckeyes by finishing in the Top 3 on four events – floor (9.325), vault (9.425) and high bar (9.4). Adderly also finished first on parallel bars, scoring a 9.150.

Senior captain Jamey Houle (Sr., Enfield, Conn) set a season high on high bar with a score of 9.075. Nicholaus Searcy (Fr., Dublin, Ohio) recorded a career-high 9.025 on parallel bars.

Competing in his first all-around competition of the season, Ronald Ferris (So., Austintown, Ohio) finished second, scoring a 53.575.

Ohio State resumes competition when it welcomes No. 5 Penn State at 7 p.m. Feb. 21 at St. John Arena.
