COLUMBUS, Ohio Billy Price and Denzel Ward each added to their impressive list of first-team All-American honors today and they were joined by a teammate on the first team of the last of the five major All-America teams: sophomore defensive end Nick Bosa. All three players were today named to the American Football Coaches Association’s All-America first team.

Bosa, a true sophomore from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and St. Thomas Aquinas, was named to virtually every second-team All-America team this year until this first-team honor by the coaches. He was named earlier this month as the Big Ten Conference’s Smith-Brown defensive lineman of the year as well as a first-team all-Big Ten choice after leading the Buckeyes in both tackles-for-loss with 14.5 (for a negative 64 yards) and quarterback sacks with seven (for a negative 51 yards).

Bosa joins older brother Joey as a first-team All-American for Ohio State, as Joey was named in both 2014 and 2015. And the Bosas thus join the Griffins – Archie and younger brother Ray – as the only other brother tandem in Ohio State history to earn first-team All-America accolades. Archie was a three-time All-American (1973-74-75) and Ray was an All-American in 1977.

Price, the graduated senior center from Austintown, Ohio, completes a sweep of the post-season All-America first-teams and he also picked up the Rimington Trophy as the nation’s top center and the Big Ten’s Rimington-Pace offensive lineman of the year award this post-season.

Ward, from Macedonia, Ohio, is a first-team All-American on three of the five teams the NCAA uses to determine its consensus and unanimous All-American teams: Associated Press, The Sporting News and AFCA.
