COLUMBUS, Ohio–Amy Malone, an Ohio State student athletic trainer, was awarded the Sears Director’s Cup Postgraduate Scholarship, a $1,000 scholarship toward graduate school, by the National Association of Collegiate Director’s of Athletics.

The scholarship was awarded as a result of Ohio State’s men’s gymnastics NCAA Championship this season.

Malone, a native of Chicago, will be a graduate assistant at Syracuse University next year.

Bill Davis, head athletic trainer at Ohio State, said Malone is worthy of the recognition.

“I am pleased that Amy was awarded this most prestigious award,” Davis said. “It will assist her next year as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Syracuse University. Amy is most deserving of this award as she excelled both in the classroom and in the training room.”
