COLUMBUS, Ohio – Myles Martin has been recognized as a Big Ten Co-Wrestler of the Week following his ‘Outstanding Wrestler’ performance at the 2018 Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational. Martin’s 5-0 weekend included three major decisions and a pin. Two of those majors came against top-20 opponents before capping his title run off by more than doubling up the nation’s third-ranked 184-pounder, 11-5, in the finals.
Isaiah White of Nebraska is the co-recipient after he, too, grabbed hardware out in Vegas.
Martin was one of three Buckeyes to claim titles in the elite regular season event, leading to Ohio State seizing its third consecutive team crown. Martin’s journey to the top of the 184-pound podium looked like this:
Rd. 1 | No. 1 Myles Martin (Ohio State) def. Tanner Harvey (American) | MD, 20-7
Rd. of 16 | No. 1 Myles Martin (Ohio State) def. Trey Rogers (Hofstra) | PIN, 2:25
