**NCAA Selection Announcement is Sunday between 1:30 and 2 p.m. ET on ESPNews

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The top-seeded and 10th-ranked Ohio State (15-10) men’s volleyball team will host third-seeded Ball State (18-9) at 7 p.m. Saturday night in St. John Arena in the MIVA Tournament championship match. The Buckeyes advanced to the championship match with a 3-0 (30-22, 30-19, 30-25) victory over fourth-seeded and 13th-ranked Loyola-Chicago (17-10) while Ball State defeated second-seeded and 12th-ranked Lewis, 3-2 (27-30, 21-30, 30-25, 31-29, 15-12) in semifinal matches Thursday. Saturday’s winner receives the NCAA automatic bid to the national championship semifinals, May 7 at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Ohio State is the defending MIVA Tournament Championship having defeated Ball State, 3-0 (30-19, 30-24, 30-21) last season in Columbus.

KLEIN NEARS OHIO STATE CAREER MARK IN ACE SERVES
Robbie Klein recorded three ace serves against Loyola-Chicago in Thursday’s MIVA Tournament semifinal match to give his 122 career aces. He needs one ace to tie and two to pass Ohio State career leader Steve Potter (1992-95) with 123.

NOTES FROM LOYOLA-CHICAGO MATCH
Ohio State hit a season-high .547 (45 kills, 4 errors, 75 attempts) in the MIVA Tournament semifinal match against Loyola-Chicago. The Buckeyes were 17-0-22 (.773) in the first game and 12-0-18 (.667) late into the second game before their first attack error. The Buckeyes gave up only a triple block against the Ramblers on their final point of the second game.
