COLUMBUS, Ohio – The 10th-ranked Ohio State (14-10 overall) men’s volleyball team will host the MIVA Tournament semifinals Thursday and the tournament championship Saturday in St. John Arena. The Buckeyes earned a quarterfinal bye and the No. 1 seed by winning the regular season championship. Ohio State will face fourth-seeded and 13th-ranked Loyola-Chicago (17-9) at 7:30 p.m. EDT Thursday in the second semifinal in St. John Arena. The first semifinal, at 5 p.m., will have second-seeded and 12th-ranked Lewis (21-7) facing third-seed Ball State (17-9). The semifinal winners advance to the tournament championship match at 7 p.m. EDT Saturday. Admission each day is $5 for adults and $3 for students. This is the third consecutive year Ohio State has hosted the semifinals and championship match of the MIVA Tournament.

The tournament champion receives the MIVA automatic bid to the NCAA Championship, May 7 and 9 in Provo, Utah, hosted by Brigham Young.
