COLUMBUS, Ohio– Devin Mullings (Jr., Freeport, Bahamas/Ft. Lauderdale Prepatory) beat Jeremy Sonkin of Wisconsin 6-2, 7-6 (4) Monday at the ITA Midwest Regionals in Ann Arbor, Mich., to advance to the semifinal round. He is now one win away from reaching the championship match, which will be played Tuesday.

To reach the finals, Mullings will need to get by Sheeva Parbhu of Notre Dame. Mullings improved his season record to 5-1 Monday.

In doubles action, Dominic Ozanne (So., Cleveland, Ohio/St. Ignatius) and Scott Green (Sr., North Canton, Ohio/Hoover) advanced to the semifinals by beating Demar Johnson and Slavko Radman of Louisville 8-4. The Buckeye duo then lost their next match to Pramod Dabmir and Brandon Davis of Illinois 8-6. Ozanne and Green are now 4-1 on the year.

Ross Wilson (Sr. Toledo, Ohio/Toledo St. Francis de Sales) and Bryan Koniecko (Fr., Long Island, N.Y./Syosset) lost in the quarterfinals to Pramod Dabmir and Brandon Davis of Illinois 8-3. Wilson and Koniecko are 3-1 this fall.

Chris Klingemann (Jr., Bradenton, Fla./Texas Tech Independent) and Mullings lost their quarterfinal match to Monte Tucker and Marc Spicijaric of Illinois 9-8 (6). Mullings and Klingemann are now 3-1 on the season.

The University of Michigan is hosting the event. All matches are being played at the Michigan Varsity Tennis Center. Championship games for both singles and doubles will be played Tuesday. For all results visit mgoblue.com.
