COLUMBUS, Ohio-Former Ohio State men’s swim team member Cameron Mull (Lansing, Mich./Lansing Everett) placed 45th in the preliminary race of the 200-butterfly event with a time of 2:04.06 on Friday. Only the top eight move on to the final race in that event.

Mull, who set a new OSU record after finishing 14th in the 400-meter freestyle preliminary race on Wednesday, qualified for the 200-freestyle semifinal on Thursday after taking a 13th-place finish in the preliminary race with a time of 1:51.10. He went on to place 10th in the semifinal race.

Events scheduled for today are the 100-freestyle prelim and semifinal, 200-breastroke preliminary and semifinal and the 200-butterfly final. The Olympic Trials will continue until Aug. 16.
