Ohio State travels to Michigan for NCAA First Round at Oakland
ROCHESTER, Mich. – Greetings from Rochester, Mich., as the Ohio State men’s soccer team prepares for its first round contest in the NCAA Tournament at 1 p.m. Saturday against Oakland. The team practiced in Columbus Friday morning before setting out for Michigan and arriving around 3 p.m. After a short break, the Buckeyes headed to the Oakland campus to check out the game field and go through a light practice.
While on the way to the field, snow started to fall, sparking mixed reactions from those on the bus. Some were excited, while others – most notably Florida native Joshua Breto – were less than pleased with the extra weather. Practice lasted about 35 minutes in the sub-30 degree temperatures before the team headed back to the hotel to warm up and get ready for team dinner at a nearby Italian restaurant.
With full stomachs, the team is back at the hotel for a night of meetings and relaxing before waking up ready to go for its first round game.
The game Saturday can be watched live on the Web or followed via live stats, both linked from the homepage or men’s soccer schedule page of OhioStateBuckeyes.com.
