COLUMBUS, OHIO – %^$The top seeded Ohio State (22-3 overall) men’s volleyball squad has advanced to the Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association%^$Tournament semifinals. They will host fifth seed Ball State (16-14) Friday following the first semifinal between second seed Indiana-Purdue (20-7)%^$and third seed Lewis (21-10) (5:30 p.m.) in St. John Arena.%^$

%^$Notes: Ohio State (22-3 overall) is now ranked fourth nationally in the USA TODAY/AVCA Coaches Poll. The Buckeyes won the Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association regular season championship with a 13-1 mark. OSU is 2-0 against each of the other three semifinalists. OSU’s Rene Esteves has been named a first team American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American and Angel Aja named to the second team. Esteves, Aja and Colin McMillan were first team All-MIVA selections with Aja named the MIVA Player of the Year.%^$
