Ohio State team captain, Mike Austin (Sr., Burton, Mich./Flint Powers Catholic) was named to the All-Big Ten Team this weekend after a second-place individual finish at the Big Ten Championship. Austin fired a six-under par 66 in the third round and shot a final score of 74-69-66-72=281 to finish as runner up in the tournament, just two strokes shy of medalist Luke Donald, who finished with the score of 279. Austin also contributed in the team effort that led Ohio State to a third place team finish scoring, 289-287-284-291=1151.

Austin holds the season record for lowest round, shooting a 65 in round two at the Gator Invitaitonal, Feb. 10-11. Austin also took medalist honors at the Marshall Invitational with a three-round total of 208 that also tied the tournament record set in 1998.
