After waiting out at a four and a half hour delay, Ohio State made it through the turn before darkness fell

TOLEDO, Ohio – Weather continued to hinder the Ohio State men’s golf team in NCAA play, with storms delaying the Buckeyes’ start to the second round of the 2009 NCAA Championships Wednesday by four and a half hours. Originally scheduled to tee off of the No. 10 hole at 12:59, Ohio State did not begin play until 5:22 p.m.

The Buckeyes played until darkness halted action at 8:55 p.m. All five OSU golfers made it through the turn and will begin play at 6:45 a.m. Thursday morning on hole Nos. 3-5. The third round is tentatively scheduled to start at 10 a.m.

Sophomores Bo Hoag and Brad Smith, along with junior Brad Wright, are leading the squad at 2-over through their respective rounds. The Buckeyes are 9-over as a team thus far for the second round and after climbing up to a tie for fifth, have moved down to 16th place.
