Sophomore from Upper Arlington, Ohio, recorded third Top 10 finish of the season at the Rio Pinar Invitational
 
COLUMBUS, Ohio Bo Hoag, a sophomore on the Ohio State men’s golf team, has been named Big Ten Men’s Golfer of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday. It is the first weekly honor of Hoag’s career and the first recognition for a Buckeye this season.

Hoag led the Buckeyes at the Rio Pinar Invitational, Feb. 24-25, with an eighth-place finish. It was his third Top 10 finish in five tournaments this season. The Upper Arlington, Ohio, native carded steady scores of 72-70-73 on the par 72, 6,978-yard Rio Pinar Golf and Country Club to complete the event with a total of 215 (-1).  Hoag, a 2008 Second Team All-Big Ten selection, ranks second on the OSU squad this season with a 72.36 stroke average.

Hoag and the Buckeyes will next compete in the General Jim Hackler Championship, March 8-9 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
