COLUMBUS, OH – Number one seed Ohio State (22-3) will face fifth seed Ball State (16-14) in the semifinals of the MIVA Tournament, hosted by Ohio State, April 28. Ball State advanced from the quarterfinals with a 15-12, 15-6, 15-10 over fourth seed Quincy (17-11). Ohio State advanced to the semifinals with a 15-3, 15-9, 15-6 win over eighth seed Clarke (8-19.

The opening semifinal match (5:30 p.m.) in St. John Arena will have second seed Indiana-Purdue (20-7), a 15-11, 15-13, 15-12 winner over seventh seed Mercyhurst (15-11) playing third seed Lewis (21-10), a 15-4, 15-8, 8-15, 16-14 winner over sixth seed Loyola-Chicago (16-12).

The semifinal winners return at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 29 for the championship match and the Midwest bid to the NCAA Championship.
