COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State’s Greg Lehman (Sr., Galena, Ohio/Big Walnut H.S.) and Chris Fash (Sr., Orland Park, Ill./Lockport Township H.S.) each recorded 11 kills to lead Ohio State (1-0) to a 3-0 victory over St. Francis (Pa.) (0-1) in season-opening men’s volleyball action Friday night. The 30-15, 30-26, 30-24 victory was played under modified international rules in which games one to four are to 30 points, played in rally scoring with no sideouts. A fifth game would be to 15 points.
Lehman added five digs and four blocks and Fash chipped in two service aces in the three-game sweep. OSU’s Pieter Olree (Sr., Reading, Pa./Exeter H.S.) registered seven kills and six digs in the win.
Junior Chris Telesco (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor) led the Red Fash with nine kills and four digs. Sophomores Matt Farabaugh (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) and Taylor Whitehurst (Bel Air, Md./John Carroll) added six kills each in the setback.

In game three, Telesco kept SFU within striking distance, pulling his team within four points at 27-23, before Ohio State scored three of the match’s final four points to set the final.
