COLUMBUS, Ohio – Andy Cole (Sr., Glendale, Wis.) has been chosen the MIVA Shondell/Dunlap Division Player of the Week. Cole scored a team-high 21.5 points in OSU’s 3-1 (27-30, 30-22, 30-28, 30-22) victory over Quincy in the MIVA Tournament quarterfinals. Cole had a team-high 20 kills while hitting .444, adding three digs and three assist blocks. With the match tied at one game each, Cole had five kills in seven swings (.714) to help OSU to a 30-28 game three win. His 20 kills and 21.5 points in the match were season highs for Cole. Over the season, Cole has not played in 12 matches and saw limited action in seven others. He has made four consecutive starts for the Buckeyes producing a four-match winning streak for Ohio State. In the last four matches, Cole has averaged 5.08 points, 4.15 kills, 1.38 digs, 1.00 blocks and is hitting .450.

Ohio State continues play in the MIVA Tournament with a semifinal match at Loyola, Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
