COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s tennis team completed a successful weekend at the Navy Invitational Sunday, winning two of four doubles matches. The Buckeyes won 25 of the 36 matches they played over the weekend in the round-robin competition against Navy, UNC-Greensboro and Temple.%^$

Chris Porter (Jr., Canton, Ohio), ranked 60th in the preseason ITA rankings, led the Buckeyes with six total wins – three each in singles and doubles. Porter joined forces with Andrew Carlson (Jr., Gambrills, Md.) to win all three No. 2 doubles matches. OSU also received fine performances from Derek DeFalco (Jr., Maumee, Ohio) and Bob Wellstein (Jr., Perrysburg, Ohio). Both swept their singles matches, and the two combined to win all three of their matches at No. 3 doubles.%^$

Ohio State returns to action Friday at the Louisville Invitational in Louisville, Ky.%^$
