COLUMBUS, Ohio In his Olympic Games debut, Devin Mullings, an Ohio State men’s tennis letterwinner from 2004-07, faced tough opponents in the opening rounds of the Beijing Games to bow out of competition. A native of Freeport, Bahamas, Mullings paired with Mark Knowles Tuesday morning to face world No. 2 and No. 1-seed Bob and Mike Bryan of the United States.

Knowles and Mullings dropped a 6-2, 6-1 decision in 52 minutes at the Olympic Green Tennis Center. The day before his doubles match, Mullings made his Olympic singles introduction, facing Agustin Calleri of Argentina. The three-time NCAA tournament participant and three-time All-Big Ten recipient lost 6-1, 6-1.
