Columbus, Ohio – Chris Klingemann (Jr., Bradenton, Fla./Texas Tech Independent) qualified for the main draw of the 2005 Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Men’s Tennis Championships by beating Jeremy Sonkin of Wisconsin 6-4, 6-4 Wednesday. The tournament is being held in Tulsa, Okla. The University of Tulsa is the host school. Matches are being played at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

Klingemann won three matches in the qualifying tournament to advance. The main draw begins Thursday. His first round opponent is yet to be determined.

Klingemann will be joined in the main draw by Devin Mullings ( Jr., Freeport, Bahamas/Ft. Lauderdale Prepatory). Mullings, ranked No. 19 in the ITA preseason singles rankings, is the No. 16 seed in the tournament. He received a bye to the main draw.

They will play Lars Poerschke and Matija Zgaga of Baylor.

Mullings and partner Bryan Koniecko (Fr. Long Island, N.Y./Syosset) lost in the second round of doubles qualifying to Joey Atas and Jonathan Stokke of Duke 8-5.
