The Ohio State men’s soccer team earned a 7-3 victory today at Wisconsin to win its fifth in a row and second Big Ten game this season. The Buckeyes record now stands at 7-3-0.

The Buckeyes started the scoring in the 23rd minute. Jason Ciminieri (Sr., Katy, Texas) scored off a rebound from Wisconsins goalie. The Badgers answered with two goals to end the first half leading 2-1.

OSU came out after the half and scored six goals. Brian Feldhaus (Sr., Cincinnati, Ohio) scored in the 59th minute on an unassited goal. Peterson Jerome (Sr, Spring Valley, N.Y.) scored just five minutes later in the 64th minute on an assist from John Tomaino (Fr., Palatine, Ill.). Feldhaus found the back of the net again, to score his second goal of the day in the 65th minute. UW attempted to come back with a goal in the 76th minute but remained scoreless the rest of the match. Ciminieri received a pass from Jerome and scored his second of the day. OSU continued its scoring streak with two more goals. John Monebrake (So., Pickerington, Ohio) scored in the 81st minute, and Tony Earp (Fr., Plantation, Fla.) scored the seventh goal in the 84th, assited by Monebrake.

The Buckeyes will host Marshall on Wednesday, Oct. 6 at 3 p.m. at the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium and then will travel to Michigan State to face the Spartans on Sunday, Oct. 10 at 2:30 p.m.
