From US Lacrosse
BALTIMORE Joe Breschi of the Ohio State University and Liz Robertshaw of Boston University have been selected as the US Lacrosse Coaches of the Week for the week ending April 13. Both will be recognized on CBS College Sports’ lacrosse broadcasts this weekend.
Breschi led the No. 19 Buckeyes to a 14-11 upset over No. 8 North Carolina on Saturday in Baltimore. The victory was the first for Ohio State over North Carolina in 14 tries. The Buckeyes are now 8-3 heading into Saturday’s big showdown against the University of Denver that will be played in Ohio Stadium.
Robertshaw and the Terriers wrapped up at least a share of the regular season championship in the America East conference with a 7-6 victory over New Hampshire on Saturday. BU also beat Stony Brook 19-9 earlier in the week and is now 12-2 for the season. BU, on a nine-game winning streak, finishes up its America East regular season schedule this weekend at UMBC.
US Lacrosse and CBS College Sports are in the fifth year of a partnership to help bring college lacrosse broadcasts to fans around the nation. CBS College Sports has a 23-game package for this season, including telecasts of the NCAA Division I, II and III women’s championships and the NCAA Division II and III men’s championships. CSTV will also telecast the US Lacrosse Women’s Division Intercollegiate Associates National Championship.
