Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s lacrosse team has completed one of the best seasons in Buckeye history. Despite not receiving a bid to this year’s NCAA tournament, the accomplishments of the 1999 squad is impressive. With the departure of only four seniors and the ability to offer scholarships beginning next season, the future looks bright for Ohio State lacrosse.
-Overall Record: 10-3
-Great Western Lacrosse League Record: 3-1
-GWLL Co-Champions with Notre Dame and Butler
-First conference title and most wins since 1988
-6 game win streak, six-best in the NCAA, and have won 7 out of 8 with the only loss coming to # 3 Johns Hopkins
-Achieved first ever national ranking March 15 at #22.
-Ranked 19th by STX/USILA poll; 13th in Baltimore Sun poll
-Beaten Ranked Team for first time-#23 Rutgers 11-9, and two ranked teams in same season for first time ever (#14 Notre Dame 5-4)
