COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s golf team concluded second round play at the 2004 NCAA Regional Championships and stand in 15th-place with a two-round total of 612 as they head into the final round of play. Purdue University is playing host to the event at the par 72, 7,259-yard Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex Kampen Course in West Lafayette, Ind.

The Buckeyes opened second round competition following a one hour rain delay and finished the round by posting a team total of 310.

Senior Scott Anderson (Great Falls, Mont./Great Falls) posted a second round of 77 for a two-round total of 155 and is tied for 34th heading into the final round. Big Ten medalist Kevin Hall (Sr., Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Rita School for the Deaf) is tied for 51st after carding a second round total of five-over-par 77.

Kentucky Leads all teams through two-rounds with a total of 583.

The Top 10 teams in the event will move to compete in the 2004 NCAA Championships in Hot Springs, Va.

Play resumes tomorrow at 7:12 a.m.
