Durham, N.C. – The Ohio State men’s golf team is tied for 13th after the first round of the Iron Duke Golf Classic. The 54-hole tournament has been shortened to 36 holes due to steady rain throughout the day. The Buckeyes shot a 305 (+17), 14 shots behind the leader Duke, which shot a 291 (+3).

David Wagenseller (So., Wilmington, Ohio) leads the Buckeyes with a 74 (+2) and is tied for 18th place. Bryce Molder of Georgia Tech, Michael Hospodar of Old Dominion and Wayne Raath of Florida Southern are tied for first at 70 (-2).

The second and final round of the rain-shortened tournament concludes on Monday with teams teeing off at the first and tenth holes between 8:00 and 10:06 a.m.
