East Lansing, Mich. – The Ohio State men’s golf team will have to make up lost ground in the final two rounds of the Big Ten Championships in order to win its fourth straight title. Midway through the tournament the Buckeyes find themselves in third place, nine stokes behind the leader Michigan State.

Ohio State scored rounds of 300 and 302 for a 26-over-par 602, but the Spartans are making good use of the home course advantage, leading the 11 team field with a 17-over-par 593.

Three members of the Buckeye squad turned in stellar performances and sit within the top 17 individual golfers. Ryan Armour (Sr., Silver Lake, Ohio) leads all Ohio State golfers with a 1-over-par 145. Armour is within striking distance of the individual leader, Brent Goik from Michigan State. Amrour lies a mere three strokes back in a tie for second place. Albert Hromulak (Jr., Johnstown, Pa.) recorded a two round total of 151 putting him in a tie for 13th place overall and second for Ohio State. Senior Craig Matthew (Point Claire, Quebec) falls one stroke behind Hromulak with an 8-over-par 152.
