COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s golf team opened play at the 2004 Bruce Fossum Invitational Saturday and stands in sixth place heading into to the final round of play. The event is being held at the par 72, 7,013-yard Forest Akers Golf Course in East Lansing, Mich.

Senior Zach Doran (Dublin, Ohio/Columbus Academy) and junior Scott Anderson (Jr., Great Falls, Mont./Great Falls) opened day one competition firing respective rounds of 77. In the round two, both Anderson and Doran rebounded to shoot 73 and are tied for 20th after two rounds with a total of 150.

Toledo’s Tyler Riley leads all individuals as he fired an opening day score of 141, while Indiana University leads all teams with a two-round total of 583.

Final round play continues tomorrow at 9 a.m.
