COLUMBUS, Ohio– The Ohio State men’s golf team is in ninth place at the Gator Invitational with 18 holes to be play. The Buckeyes shot rounds of 283-300 (583) Saturday for the first 36 holes of the event at Florida’s University Golf Course (par 70, 6,701) in Gainesville, Fla.

No. 23 Wake Forest leads the tournament by one shot over the host Gators with a score of 570 (280-290). Manuel Villegas of Florida is the individual leader after shooting rounds of 67-68 for a score of 5-under 135.

Ohio State senior Colin Biles (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) fired a season-low round of 69 and followed it up with a second round score of 76. He and classmate Jack Tyler (Novi, Mich./George Washington), who shot rounds of 73-72, are tied for 29th place.

Final round competition begins at 7:30 a.m. Sunday.
