COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s golf team concluded play at the 2004 Matlock Invitational Tuesday and finished third with a three-round total of 877. The Buckeyes’ third-place finish in the event was their third Top 5 finish of the 2003-04 season. The event was played in Lakeland, Fla., at the Par 72, 7,065-yard Grasslands Golf and Country Club.

Kevin Hall (Sr., Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Rita School for the Deaf) paced the Buckeyes as he fired a final-round score of 68 and tied for seventh. Hall finished the tournament with a three-round total of 215, which marked his lowest three-round total of the 2003-04 season.

Colin Biles (Fr., Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) continued his strong play as he tied for 11th and finished the event with a three-round total of 216.

Greg Koch of Florida Southern won medalist honors with a total 211, while Memphis captured the team title with a three-round total of 864.

The Ohio State men’s golf team returns to action March 3-6 to compete in the Xavier Intercollegiate in St. Croix, Virgin Island.
