COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s golf team concluded play at the 2004 Gary Koch/Cleveland Golf Intercollegiate, Tuesday and finished 14th ove with a three-round total of 911. The University of Florida played host to the 54-hole event at the par 72, 7,078-yard, Old Memorial Golf Course in Tampa, Fla.

The Buckeyes opened play Tuesday by completing the remaining holes of second round competition, which was not completed Monday because of steady rain. Ohio State finished the second round with a score of 300 and finished with a final round score of 302.

Senior Scott Anderson (Great Falls, Mont./Great Falls) was the top OSU golfer throughout the tournament. Anderson finished the event tied for 14th with a tournament total of 220.

The University of Kentucky won the event with a three-round total of 872, while Kentucky’s Mark Blakefield captured medalist honors as he carded a three-round tournament score of 213.

The Ohio State men’s golf team returns to action Monday Oct. 25-26 as they compete in the 2004 Barona Invitational in San Diego, Calif.
