%^$ COLUMBUS, Ohio – Chris Emanuel (So., Ottumwa, Iowa) led the Buckeyes to a seventh-place finish (304-295-305=904) and third among Big Ten teams in the 17-team Fossum Invitational. Emanual tied for 12th with rounds of 73-73-76=222. Illinois, led by medalist Larry Nuger (68-68-72=208) won the event (298-288-287=873). Michigan State, the host school, was fifth (304-292-299=895).

%^$ The 7th-place finish for the Buckeyes was the third-consecutive Top 10 finish after completing the Marshal Invitational (April 9-10) sixth and the Kepler Intercollegiate (April 17-18) ninth.

%^$ At the Fossum, Albert Hromulak (Sr., Johnstown, Pa.) and Ryan Dennis (Fr., Stow, Ohio) tied for 23rd after rounds of 78-71-76=225 and 73-76-76=225, respectively, for OSU.

%^$ This was Ohio State’s final tuneup prior to the Big Ten Championships, sheduled for May 14-16 at Minnesota.
