COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State’s Colin Biles, a junior from Columbus, Ohio, is tied for third in the individual standings with an opening round of 69 (-3) Tuesday at the Big Ten/Pac-10 Challenge in suburban Chicago.

Ohio State is second after the opening 18 holes with a score of 287 (-1) at The Glen Club (par 72, 7,149 yards) in Glenview, Ill. Jack Tyler, a junior from Novi, Mich., is tied for fourth overall following an opening round 70 (-2) for the Buckeyes.

Seven teams from each conference are competing in the event. Northwestern is the opening round leader with a team score of 286 (-2).

Patrick Nagle of Illinois is leading the individual standings of the 54-hole event with a 6-under par 66 in Round 1. The teams will play another 18 holes Monday afternoon with the final round of the event scheduled for Tuesday.

Arizona, Arizona State, California, UCLA, Oregon, USC and Washington from the Pac-10 and Indiana, Illinois, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Ohio State and Purdue from the Big Ten are participating in the Challenge this year. The event will held at Bandon Dunes in Oregon next fall.
