COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s golf team opened play at the 2004 Gary Koch/Cleveland Golf Intercollegiate Monday and sit in 12th-place after a first round score of 309. The second round of the event was not completed because of steady rain, which occurred throughout the day. The University of Florida is playing host to the 54-hole event at the par 72, 7,078-yard, Old Memorial Golf Course in Tampa, Fla.

Senior Scott Anderson (Great Falls, Mont./Great Falls) is the top OSU golfer through 18-holes. Anderson opened the event, with a two-over-par, 74 and is currently tied for 13th with five other competitors.

The University of Central Florida leads the event with a round one score of 293. UCF’s Stefan Wistorf leads all individuals with an opening round of four-under-par 68.

The remainder of the second-round will be completed early Tuesday with the third round to follow.
