COLUMBUS, Ohio – Competing against 37 Ohio colleges, the Ohio State cross country men’s squad captured the team title at the 1999 Ohio Intercollegiate Cross Country Championships in Delaware, Ohio. Senior David Gonzalez (Bolingbrook, Ill.) was the Buckeyes top finisher, posting a time of 25:50.1 for third place. Ian Connor ( Jr., Lexington, Ohio) and J.J. O’Reilly (So., Dover, Ohio) followed in fifth and seventh place, respectively.

The women’s squad finished eighth out of 40 schools with Kent State taking the team title. Senior Alexis Schulist (Muskegon, Mich.) led the Buckeyes in ninth place with a time of 18:52 and Mandy Osmond (Fr., Guelph, Ontario, Canada) finished in 31st-place.

The Buckeyes travel to Bloomington, Ind. to compete in the Pre-NCAA meet on Saturday, Oct. 16.
