Buckeyes await NCAA draw at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday at the Varsity Indoor Tennis Center

COLUMBUS, Ohio The Ohio State men’s tennis team will watch the 2009 NCAA Men’s Tennis Championships selection show at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday (today) in its team room at The Ohio State University Varsity Indoor Tennis Center at 880 W. Henderson Road.

Media members are invited to watch the NCAA selection show, airing on ESPNews, with the Buckeyes (31-1; 10-0 Big Ten) starting a 5 p.m. with interviews following the show.

Ty Tucker, Ohio State head coach, and the Scarlet and Gray won their fourth-consecutive Big Ten tournament title Sunday, downing Illinois, 4-1, in Ann Arbor, Mich. The championship match will be televised by the Big Ten Network tape delayed at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 3.

The team brackets will be posted on OhioStateBuckeyes.com and the NCAA websites (www.NCAA.com and www.NCAA.org) shortly after the completion of the televised announcement.

Ohio State, ranked third in the nation, has guaranteed itself a spot in the 2009 NCAA championships and will host an NCAA regional May 8-9 at the Stickney Tennis Center. The first round will consist of two matches held at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. May 8 with the winners of the two contests meeting at noon May 9.

The 2009 NCAA Championships Round of 16 will be hosted by Texas A&M May 14-25 in College Station, Texas.
