COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State’s Jarred Martin will spend the next week in Dublin, Ireland as the head coach of the U17 United States Women’s National Team. Team USA is slated for three matches against Ireland.

“We are excited to have this opportunity to play over in Europe against Ireland,” said Martin. “The team has had two great training weekends and we are looking forward to playing together and representing the United States in Dublin. I am thankful to have two great coaches join me, Jen Stone and Kelly Doton, on this tour. Selections were very difficult this year because there are so many talented players on this U-17 squad. That goes to show the junior development in this country from a club, school and within the Futures Program is moving in the right direction.”

Martin was named U17 head coach in June of 2015 after serving as an assistant coach with the team for five years. He also works with the South High Performance Training Center (HPTC), which won the Women’s’ National Championships in May of 2014. Martin earned a Level III Accreditation from USA Field Hockey in the summer of 2010.
