COLUMBUS, Ohio – Liam Doyle, Kyle Culbertson and Danny Jensen were honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) for their combined work in the classroom and on the field when the organization announced its Scholar All-America and All-East Region squads. Doyle was named a second team Scholar All-American, while Culbertson and Jensen join Doyle on the All-East region list.
Doyle was named a NSCAA Scholar Second Team All-American this past week, the first Buckeye to earn such honor and was the only Big Ten representative named. Ohio State was also the only school in the east to have three student-athletes received scholar all-region recognitions. Doyle earned first team all-region honors, while Culbertson and Jensen picked up second team laurels.
Two weeks ago, Doyle, a native of the Isle of Man, U.K., became the 10th Buckeye in program history to be named an All-American on the third team. He becomes the first Buckeye to earn both All-American honors by the NSCAA in the same year. Doyle anchored an Ohio State backline that allowed just six goals in Big Ten games, the lowest mark in the conference as well as 10 clean sheets. He notched 10 points, including a season-high six assists, while registering a pair of goals in his final season in the Scarlet and Gray.

An Academic All-Big Ten selection, Culbertson registered a career-high 17 points on six goals and five assists.
Jensen led the Buckeyes with a career-high 18 points on six goals and six assists. A second team All-Big Ten selection and Academic All-Big Ten honoree, Jensen tallied three goals and three assists during the team’s hot streak of 10-consecutive unbeaten matches.
