COLUMBUS, Ohio – Jaclyn Lee, a junior on the Ohio State women’s golf team, has been named Big Ten Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced March 21. The award is the third for Lee, who also earned the accolade Sept. 20 and Feb. 28.
The Calgary, Alberta, native earned her fourth Top 10 finish of the 2017-18 season last weekend at the Clover Cup, placing second at 4-under par, one stroke behind Oklahoma’s Julienne Soo. Lee carded rounds of 72, 69 and 71 at Longbow Golf Club and now has six-consecutive rounds at or below par. Lee tallied 14 birdies on the weekend, the most of any competitor in the field, and played the Par-4’s at 1-over for the tournament, the second-best of any player. Lee tied for sixth in Par-5 scoring at 5 under and tied for sixth in Par-3 scoring at even-par.
The Buckeyes continue play this weekend at the Clemson Invitational starting Friday.
