COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State forward Lauren Granberg has been named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. The award, which is shared with Minnesota’s Taylor Uhl, is the second Big Ten weekly award of Granberg’s career and the fifth for a Buckeye this season.

Granberg tallied an assist in the Buckeyes’ 4-1 win at Iowa Friday and came back to notch her first career hat trick in Ohio State’s 4-0 shutout at Nebraska Sunday. The Sherwood Park, Alberta, native scored the game-winner in less than four minutes into the contest then added another in the 66th minute and capped the scoring in the 89th minute.

The hat trick was the 10th in Ohio State history and the first since Paige Maxwell scored three in a 6-0 victory over Youngstown State in 2009.

Ohio State hosts Michigan at 8 p.m. Thursday on BTN before taking on Michigan State on Senior Day in Columbus at 1 p.m. Sunday.
