LINCOLN, Neb. – Kyle Snyder is back on Team USA for the third straight Senior World Championships (2015, 2017, 2018) and fourth consecutive top level squad including the 2016 Olympics in Rio. He defeated Kyven Gadson (9-0, 10-2) in straight bouts in the Final X Lincoln best-of-3 finals series.
Snyder not only competed in the ’15 and ’17 World Championships, but also climbed to the top of the podium in each. Last summer came to a climax with the “Match of the Century” when Snyder topped Abdulrashi Sudulaev (Russia) to clinch USA’s team trophy as well.
Snyder’s Final X victory marked the fourth Buckeye to make a World Team in a seven-day stretch. Myles Martin and Kollin Moore got the international party started by locking up U23 Team USA slots before Brady Koontz followed up with his securing of a Junior World Championships Greco-Roman role.
