After being an outstanding student-athlete at the Ohio State University for the last four years what has been the most rewarding experience or opportunity during your time here?
The most rewarding experience was having the opportunity to help my team win a National Title and three Big Ten Championships.

What makes you a good candidate for this award?
During my 4 years at Ohio State, I was able to balance my athletic schedule, both at the college level and international level, while achieving Academic All Big Ten honors during each season that I competed for the Buckeyes. Is there anyone in particular you would like to thank for helping you during your time at Ohio State? I would like to thank all of my academic instructors, Coach Tom Ryan, and Athletic Director Gene Smith for providing me the support that was necessary to balance this demanding workload.

In your opinion what does it mean to be a student-athlete, especially at a university like Ohio State?
Being a student-athlete at Ohio State means striving for excellence in every aspect of your life. This includes work in the classroom, during training and competition, and as a leader in the community and on campus.

After graduation how do you plan to take what you have learned as a student-athlete into the business world/professional athletic endeavors?
I have learned a great deal about leadership, discipline, respect, and gratitude while competing as a student-athlete at Ohio State. These skills and my strong Christian faith will help balance my international wrestling career and future business endeavors.
