COLUMBUS, Ohio – Kristen Slahor (So., Ellicott City, Md.) has been named the American Lacrosse Conference Player of the week for her play in Ohio State’s (2-9 overall, 1-1 ALC) 9-7 victory at Ohio (3-9, 0-3) last Sunday. She scored two goals, adding an assist and a caused turnover against the Bobcats. With Ohio State leading, 7-5, Slahor scored the game winning goal on a free position shot at 49:01 to give OSU an 8-5 lead. The Bobcats rallied with two unassisted goals to cut the lead to one at 8-7. Ohio controlled the next draw but a Bobcat turnover gave OSU possession. Slahor scored her second goal at 58:32 to give Ohio State a 9-7 lead. The Buckeyes controlled the draw and held on for the victory.

For the season, Slahor ranks third in points for the Buckeyes with 18. She has 10 goals and a team-high eight assists. Slahor has collected eight ground balls, two draw controls, three caused turnovers and has scored on four of six free position attempts in her 11 games this season.

Ohio State returns to action this Sunday, at Vanderbilt (4-7, 0-2), at noon.
