Columbus, Ohio — Ohio State strength and conditioning coach Dave Kennedy submitted his resignation today in order to “pursue other career opportunities.”

Kennedy, who works primarily with football, is completing his twelfth year at Ohio State. He was hired by former football coach John Cooper in June of 1989.

Kennedy did not reveal his future plans, but said, “I made this decision a while ago, but chose to stay until this time to ensure as smooth a transition as possible while the team began preparation for the upcoming season.”

“Dave has been an integral part of the program the past 12 years and we wish him the very best,” said Director of Athletics Andy Geiger. “He is a terrific strength coach and a sensational person.”
