COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Football Writers Association of America tonight included Joey Bosa on its first-team All-America squad, giving the standout sophomore defensive end a sweep of the five organizations that combine to recognize consensus All-Americans and thus earning him unanimous All-America accolades.

Bosa has previously been named a first-team All-American by the Associated Press, the Walter Camp Football Foundation, the American Football Coaches Association and The Sporting News.

A finalist for the Lombardi Trophy, the Bednarik Award and the Ted Hendricks Award after recording 50 tackles, including Big Ten-leading numbers in TFLs (20 for -114 yards in losses) and quarterback sacks (13.5 for 96 yards in losses), Bosa joins an elite list of Buckeyes to attain the status of unanimous All-American. He is the first to do so since James Laurinaitis in 2007.
