TOLEDO, Ohio – The final round of the Inverness Intercollegiate on Tuesday was cancelled due to lightning and heavy rain in the northern Ohio area. The 36-hole results from Monday are final.
That means junior Daniel Wetterich, who posted rounds of 68-69 to stand at 5-under par and tied for fourth, posts the highest finish of his Buckeye career. He tops his previous best of tied for ninth at last year’s Boilermaker Invitational.
As a team, Ohio State finished sixth in the 13-team field at 3-over par. Next up for the Buckeyes will be the Bearcat Invitational at Coldstream Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio. The event will run Monday, Sept. 25 and Tuesday, Sept. 26 and will be a play-6, count-4 format.
