Ohio State Contributing to Cure MD Weekend

This is the weekend in college football when every coach is on the same team. For the 10th consecutive year, college coaches nationwide will join in support of the Coach To Cure MD program to raise awareness and funds for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Football fans at the games will be asked to donate to research projects supported by Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy.

Puck Drops on Women’s Ice Hockey Season

The Ohio State University women’s ice hockey team drops the puck on the 2017-18 regular season this weekend with a series against the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Friday’s game is set for a 6:07 p.m. start, while Saturday’s clash will get underway at 3:07 p.m. Both games are at the OSU Ice Rink, and admission is free.

Earlier this week, the Buckeyes hosted the South Korean Olympic Team in a special exhibition at the OSU Ice Rink, which resulted in an 8-0 victory.

Men’s Gymnast Looks for Crowning Achievement

Ohio State men’s gymnast Joey Smith is in the 2017 Ohio State Homecoming Court. Smith, a native of Columbus, Ohio, is entering his second year as a member of the men’s gymnastics team at Ohio State. Majoring in ecological engineering and Chinese, Smith encompasses what it means to be a student-athlete and has learned a lot from this process.

Baseball Shows Off for Scouts

The Ohio State baseball team held its annual pro scout day Thursday afternoon at Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium. Approximately, 40 scouts were on hand as head coach Greg Beals ran his team through a series of drills before a simulated game where 11 Buckeye pitchers threw 1-2 innings each.
