COLUMBUS, Ohio – Chris Holtmann wrapped up the 2017-18 season Tuesday providing his overview of the program during his first year in Columbus.

The Buckeyes finished 25-9 overall and 15-3 in the Big Ten regular-season standings. Ohio State surpassed all expectations and predictions by finishing second in the league and earning the No. 2 seed in the annual Big Ten Tournament, played this year at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Holtmann directed his fourth-consecutive team into the NCAA Tournament, three at Butler and his first at Ohio State, this year when the Buckeyes were selected as a No. 5 seed and sent out west to Boise, Idaho. Ohio State advanced to the Round of 32 after a win over South Dakota State before ending the season with a loss to Gonzaga.

The Buckeyes finished ranked No. 17 in the final Associated Press Poll and No. 21 in the last coaches’ poll.
