COLUMBUS, Ohio – Therese Hession, Ohio State director of golf, announced Friday the signing of Aneka Seumanutafa to the Buckeyes’ women’s golf program.
“The team, coaching staff and I are pleased to announce Aneka Seumanutafa will be joining the Buckeyes in January 2019,” Hession said. “Aneka has a solid golf game and will make an immediate impact on our team. She and her parents are amazing individuals and will make all of Buckeye Nation proud.”
Seumanutafa, a native of Emmitsburg, Md., won the 39th Junior North & South Championship last summer at Pinehurst, posting a total of 13-under with scores of 70-66-67 before tallying a runner-up finish this year. Also this past month, Aneka, the daughter of Isopo and Poni Seumanutafa, tied for 13th at the Girls Junior PGA Championship at Kearney Hills Golf Links at 7-under.
