Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio State softball began the Scarlet and Gray intra-squad best-of-three series today. Gray won the first game, 10-0, and junior Kristi DeVries (Corona, Calif./Corona) was credited for the win. All ten runs were scored in the top of the sixth inning. Every member of the Gray squad (DeVries, senior Annie Dedic (Yorba Linda, Calif./Fullerton JC), senior Kristine Himes (Bolivar, Ohio/Tuscarawas Valley), freshman Nicole Lancaster (Magnolia, Ohio/Sandy Valley), freshman Chelsea Baker (Gahanna, Ohio/DeSales), sophomore Ashley Cutcliff (Zionsville, Ind./Florida), sophomore Jennifer Johnson (La Mirada, Calif./La Mirada), freshman BJ Carder (Celina, Ohio/Celina) and sophomore Karisa Evans (Franklin, Ohio/Franklin)) reached home and Carder scored twice.
