With the Ohio State hockey 2015-16 season nearing, get to know the Buckeyes.
Josh Healey, a defenseman from Edmonton, Alberta, is entering his third season on the Buckeye blueline. He has played in 65 games in his career, with three goals, 11 assists and 14 points. In 2014-15, Healey had nine points, with two goals and seven assists, in 32 games, along with 59 blocked shots. Over the summer, the free agent participated in the NHL Edmonton Oilers’ development camp. Healey, a two-time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete and an Academic All-Big Ten choice, is a finance major.
The Buckeyes open the season with an exhibition game in 47 days, as they host Brock in Value City Arena. The regular season begins with a home-and-home series against Bowling Green Oct. 9-10, with the opening game in Columbus.
